Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 5, 2026

At NoteKraft, we believe that your thoughts, notes, and writings are fundamentally private. We have designed our core architecture to reflect this belief. We do not save, store, or transmit your typed text to any server, ever.

1. Data We Do NOT Collect

Unlike other cloud-based text editors that require you to log in and sync your data to their servers, NoteKraft operates entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. This means:

  • We do not collect the text you type in the notepad.
  • We do not collect the text you paste into our text tools.
  • We do not read your files when you use features like Word Counter or Case Converter.
  • We do not have a database of usernames, passwords, or emails because we do not have user accounts.

2. How Your Data is Saved (Local Storage)

When you type in the NoteKraft online notepad, your text is auto-saved locally to your specific device using a web technology called `localStorage`. This data physically lives on your hard drive inside your web browser's cache. If you open NoteKraft on a different computer, your notes will not be there, because the data never leaves the original computer. For more information, read our data safety guide.

3. Data We May Collect

To keep the site running and improve user experience, we may collect minimal, non-personally identifiable analytical data. This may include:

  • Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL) to monitor traffic and prevent DDoS attacks.
  • Aggregated analytics (e.g., which text tools are the most popular) using privacy-friendly analytics providers that do not track users across the web via third-party cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services, such as Google AdSense, to serve advertisements when you visit our website. These companies may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

5. Your Consent

By using our website, you consent to our privacy policy. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page.
